Philosophic GPS

Here is an example of voice guided philosophic GPS-navigation system that I've created (there was already a similar and small joke called "Zen GPS")

1. You've to turn right in half mile. If your Karma is good you'll get green signal.
2. You have the right to turn right now.
3. If you hear this message your ear is working fine,
4. If nothing is left in your Karma you'll get bliss. Anyway turn left now.
5. Buddha said "middle of the road" is best. However traffic rule says you should be in the right.
6. I don't know if there is heaven and/or hell. You'll know soon if you continue over-speeding like this.
7. I can't go on re-calculating the route for you. Looks like this is your judgment day.

Humble desire

People have various desires.

They are after power. Many of them want to be extraordinary and powerful or extraordinarily powerful.

I choose to be very humble and want to be ordinary.

Extraordinarily ordinary.

It is no fair......

This is a conversation from my yesterday's dream. You will guess whom I was talking to.

• What? "Life is a drama"? Yes, I've heard about it. How is it like?

• Oh. Action packed! Good to know that it is not tragic.

• Me?... I only wanted to see it. Of course the heroine is gorgeous.

• Beg your pardon. You want me as WHAT? a CLOWN?

• a bugless software
• a creator who doesn't expect appreciation
• peaceful mind
• fearless life
• a technology that provides basic needs for all the beings on the Earth

Should I change the mirror I'm looking at? or my spectacles?

Looks like, the Guardian Angels of so many people are on vacation. Here is a mail to them.

Dear Angels,

    Are you planning to go on extending your vacation? People are suffering everywhere. Don't you hear that often-silent cry? Don't you see the pain in their eyes? Don't you smell that their hearts are burning? Have you forgotten the taste of extreme bitterness that they are tasting? Don't you feel their trembling bodies?

Working with the software will sure be a different experience. Sometimes one may be wondering why a particular piece of software doesn’t work and another time why does it work.

Oh God!

You could have

• Made me listen to the melody from Krishna's flute
• Made me to feel the presence of Buddha
• Made me to hear the discourses of Jesus
• Given me a switch to turn my thoughts off when I don't want
• Made the Earth to swallow me when I felt ashamed
• Given me wings to fly to my dear ones when I wanted.

That's OK. I understand you missed them in my current release. Will you please consider these if I'm cursed for another birth?

I don't understand

We are so excellent in finding the problems of others rather than our own. I think we got it all wrong when J Krishnamurti said “to go inside, we have to start from outside. To go far, we have to start from near”.

Sleep?

One of our room mates who snores the most said something just before he went to bed that made all other room mates to get scared. Guess what he would've said.

He said the following
"Today I'm very tired; I should start to sleep soon and have a sound sleep."

Brilliant people

Why is that some so called brilliant people are so selfish?

Are they selfish because they are brilliant or they are brilliant because they are selfish?

Letter to the Apartment

In our apartment we had a problem with the flush and it didn't work for a (very) short period. My friend wrote a letter to the apartment

"The flush in our apartment toilet is not working. Kindly look into it as soon as possible."

Obviously we did not send this letter though :)

It is so weird

Why some (or most) simple things looks so complex and some complex things look so simple? Is it so? or may be I'm weird.

Another Question

This may sound pessimistic because it "is".

People say live and achieve or live to achieve. Why is that sometimes living itself looks like an achievement of its own?

Software: Next generation
Food: Any vegetarian food that crosses the throat with least resistance.
Air: Always conditioned
Water: Colored. Some people call it as Coffee.
Dress: Anything that makes the one who wears look crazy.
Religion: *NIX by birth, believed Windows and I've my love for Apple. Confusion is appropriate.
Friends: Those blessed/forsaken beings who write technical tips and articles.
Foes: Foe? Nobody. Well I lied. I myself.
Hobby: Looking at the compiling code (and swearing at it).
Office: Microsoft Office, Sun's OpenOffice.org. and iWork. Oh you meant the company I work with?
